Episode 1: Part I & Part II

At the onset of a new wave of COVID-19, theatres in Hong Kong poised to reopen have to close again, resulting in the cancellation of many long-awaited and re-scheduled Cantonese operatic shows. To assuage the disappointment of fans in Hong Kong and around the globe, the MVOH organizers offer a series of talks to enhance fans’ understanding and appreciation of selected songs from the MVOH 2020 concert. Speakers including Master Lau Wing-Chuen and several veteran Cantonese opera stars will highlight interesting aspects of the songs chosen and provide insightful commentary in Cantonese. Fans can ask questions via live chat.
